For the rest of 2026, Griha Pravesh muhurats fall on 11, 14, 20, 21, 25 and 26 November and 2, 3, 4, 11, 12, 18, 19 and 30 December. In 2027, January opens with 1 January, February offers 10, 11, 15, 22, 24, 25 and 27, March offers 3, 4, 10, 11, 15, 22, 24, 26, 27 and 31, and May offers 7, 8, 15, 17, 20 and 21.

Early 2027 is generous, especially February and March. Month by month:

• January 2027 — 1 (a single clean window at the very start of the month).
• February 2027 — 10, 11, 15, 22, 24, 25, 27 (Vasant Panchami on 11 February is a self-auspicious day).
• March 2027 — 3, 4, 10, 11, 15, 22, 24, 26, 27, 31 (the widest window of the year).
• April 2027 — mostly restricted in the Chaitra-Vaishakha transition; Gudi Padwa on 7 April remains an abujh (self-auspicious) day many families accept.
• May 2027 — 7, 8, 15, 17, 20, 21 (Akshaya Tritiya on 9 May is also abujh).

Second, the tithi: Dwitiya, Tritiya, Panchami, Saptami, Dashami, Ekadashi and Trayodashi are used, while the rikta tithis and Amavasya are left alone. Third, the weekday: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are preferred; Sunday and Tuesday are traditionally avoided for a peaceful entry. Tradition distinguishes three entries. Apoorva Griha Pravesh is the first-ever entry into a newly built home — the commonest case, and the one that demands the strongest muhurat. Sapoorva is re-entry into a home you left for a long time, and Dwandwah is re-entry after major repair or rebuilding. The latter two are a little more forgiving, which is useful to know if your timeline is tight. As with a wedding, the general list answers only half the question.
