Getting started & how it works

What is Astro Ratan?

A calm, modern Vedic astrologer you can talk to. It reads your exact birth chart and answers your questions — on WhatsApp every day, and on the web whenever you want to go deeper.

Is this a real astrologer or just generic horoscopes?

Real Jyotish. Every answer is drawn from your precise birth chart — calculated to the degree — and your own conversation history. Never a sun-sign blurb written for a million people.

How does it personalise the guidance?

From your exact date, time and place of birth it casts your full chart — every planet, house and dasha — and reads from that, remembering your context across conversations.

Do I use it on WhatsApp or the web?

Both, on one membership. WhatsApp is the daily, conversational home; the web gives you room for charts, reports and deeper exploration.

What birth details do I need, and can I change them later?

Your date, time and place of birth. You can update them anytime if something was off — your readings will recompute from the corrected chart.

Can I add family profiles?

Yes — Premium includes up to 3 family profiles, so you can ask about the people you love, each read from their own exact chart. Mistakes happen: you can refine each profile's birth details up to 3 times a month, free (the counter resets on the 1st). Checking your regional price…

How Astro Ratan compares

How is Astro Ratan different from free AI astrology like ChatGPT or Gemini?

General chatbots reason from your sun sign or guess your planetary positions — and can invent placements that aren't in your chart. Astro Ratan computes your exact birth chart with a real astronomy engine (Swiss Ephemeris, Lahiri ayanamsa) and answers only from those real placements, remembering your history across conversations. For a fuller category map, see How AI Vedic astrology compares.

How is it different from per-minute astrologer apps?

No per-minute meter, and no waiting for a slot. Astro Ratan is one flat membership with a generous monthly allowance, available 24/7 on WhatsApp, and it remembers your chart and your past questions — so every conversation continues where you left off.

Which Vedic system and ayanamsa does Astro Ratan use?

Classical Parashari Jyotish with the Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa — the sidereal standard used by India's official Rashtriya Panchang — computed on the Swiss Ephemeris. It covers your natal chart and divisional charts (D1–D60), Vimshottari dasha, panchanga, muhurta, Ashtakuta compatibility, yogas and shadbala.

Do I need my exact birth time?

Ideally yes. Your birth time sets your ascendant and the house framework of the whole chart — even a few minutes can move them. If you don't know it, Astro Ratan can still read from the planetary positions and will tell you which answers need a precise time.

Can I talk to Astro Ratan in Hindi?

Yes — Astro Ratan understands and replies in English and Hindi on WhatsApp (and several other Indian languages). This website is in English.

Free trial, plans & billing

What's included in the free trial?

A real reading from your exact chart and a taste of daily guidance — enough to feel the value before you decide. The trial lasts 7 days or 10 questions, whichever comes first. A one-time token charge of ₹1 in India or $1 internationally verifies your payment method to begin. The trial questions themselves are free.

What does Premium include?

Premium is the most you can ask in a month: 240 questions a month with no daily cap and up to 3 family profiles. The Astro Ratan methods are shared across every paid plan; Premium buys more questions and more family profiles, not a better astrologer. Reports are included across the paid plan platter.

How much does it cost?

Premium — the most questions a month — is available monthly, quarterly, 6-monthly or yearly. Longer terms cost less per month. Checking your regional price… See the pricing page for every term and feature.

Will I be charged per minute or per message?

Never. Astro Ratan is one flat membership with a generous monthly pool (240 questions on Premium, no daily cap) — no per-minute meter, no surprises on your bill.

How do I pay, and does it renew automatically?

Securely via Razorpay's hosted page. Your plan renews at the end of each term so your guidance never lapses; you can turn off renewal anytime.

Can I build my own plan?

Yes. Choose how many questions you want each month and how many family members Astro Ratan should know, and the price follows. Start at /pricing/build. It is for people the ready-made plans do not fit: someone who does not have many questions of their own, and someone who mostly wants to ask about their family.

Is a custom plan cheaper than Starter, Essential or Premium?

Not usually, and deliberately so. Every plan includes the same daily reading, weekly report, panchang and alerts — so a small custom plan gives you the full experience for less money, and it is priced a little higher per question to reflect that. The bigger the plan, the cheaper each question becomes: that is what a ready-made plan buys you.

Do I still get the reports on a custom plan?

Yes, all of them. Your daily reading, the weekly report, panchang and festival alerts, muhurat and compatibility come with every plan at every price. What you are choosing is how many questions you want to ask, and how many family members to include.

How do family members work on a custom plan?

They come with the plan, the same way they do on Essential and Premium — roughly one for every 70 questions, up to the three Premium includes. Want a fourth, or a tenth? Those are added on top at any plan size.

Can I change my numbers later?

You can go up whenever you like and it takes effect immediately. Coming down happens at your next renewal rather than mid-month, so your billing stays predictable and any questions you have carried over do not disappear without warning.

Do my unused questions carry over to next month?

Yes. Whatever you have not asked carries into your next month, as long as you continue within 90 days. What carries is capped at one extra month's worth — so a 240-question plan can hold at most 480 in a single month, and a 40-question plan at most 80. The same rule applies on Starter, Essential and Premium.

Can a custom plan renew automatically?

Yes. At checkout you can turn on automatic monthly renewal, paid by UPI AutoPay or card, and it is on by default so your questions do not stop without you meaning them to. You can turn it off before you pay, and cancel it any time afterwards from your account — cancelling stops the next charge and leaves the month you have already paid for untouched.

Cancellation & refunds

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes — cancel in one tap, whenever you wish. There are no lock-ins; cancelling simply stops future renewals.

What happens to my access after I cancel?

You keep Premium until the end of the term you've already paid for, then move to the free experience. Your data and any reports remain yours.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes, within our refund window — write to wecare@astroratan.ai and we'll help. Final refund terms are set out in our Terms.

Privacy, data & trust

Is my conversation private?

Yes. Your chart and your conversations are yours. We use them only to personalise your guidance — never to sell your data.

What do you do with my birth data — can I delete it?

It's used solely to compute your chart and readings. You can request a copy or deletion anytime at wecare@astroratan.ai. See our Privacy Policy.

Are my payment details safe?

Payments happen on Razorpay's own secure page. Your card or UPI details never pass through the chat or reach us.

Who runs Astro Ratan?

Astrocorp Techlab Private Limited, based in Hyderabad.

Philosophy & expectations

How accurate is it?

The astronomy is exact — placed to the degree. The guidance is about perspective and timing: clarity to act with confidence, offered honestly and calmly.

Is this fixed fate, or guidance?

Guidance. Astrology, at its best, is a way of seeing clearly so you can choose well — not an unchangeable script. The choices remain yours.

Is it tied to a religion, or a substitute for professional advice?

It draws on classical Vedic tradition but isn't a religious service, and it's not a substitute for professional medical, legal or financial advice.
