Does Astro Ratan offer numerology readings?
Astro Ratan focuses on Vedic birth-chart readings. Numerology and Lo Shu consultations are not currently offered. This page explains the terminology so you can distinguish the systems. For a supported starting point, use the free Kundli calculator or read our calculation methodology.
Numerology is usually met in one of two ways: a free calculator that returns a number and a paragraph that could describe anyone, or a confident stranger who says your name is spelled wrong and offers to fix your life for a fee. Neither is much use. What is useful is knowing what your numbers actually emphasise, and how that sits with what your birth chart already says.
The numbers that actually matter
Most of the value sits in a small handful of figures, each derived differently and each saying something distinct:
- Your life-path number (mulank in the Indian tradition is drawn from the birth day; the life path from the full date) — the broad pattern of how you tend to move through life.
- Your destiny or expression number, derived from the letters of your name — what you keep being pulled toward.
- Your Lo Shu grid — the three-by-three arrangement showing which digits your birth date contains, how often, and just as tellingly, which are missing.
- The repetitions and gaps in that grid, which are often more revealing than any single headline number.
Why the missing digits matter more than the loud ones
A Lo Shu grid is read as much for its holes as its clusters. A digit appearing three times says something is emphatic in you — possibly to the point of overuse. A digit absent altogether points at a faculty you have had to build deliberately rather than inherit. Read carelessly this becomes a list of flaws; read properly it is a description of where effort has been required, which most people recognise immediately as true of their own lives.
A number is not a verdict on who you are. It is a description of what comes easily and what you have had to work at — and almost everyone recognises their own answer.
Read beside the chart, not instead of it
Numerology and Jyotish use different inputs and interpretive rules. A number derived from a name does not establish a planetary placement, and a birth-chart reading does not validate a number-based prediction. Keep their methods separate. About changing the spelling of your name
You will meet the advice often: add a letter, drop one, and fortune follows. A numerology practitioner may discuss a name number and how a spelling changes it within a stated system. Astro Ratan does not currently provide that calculation or a name-correction service. A different spelling is not evidence that circumstances will improve, and nobody should pressure you to change your name. Your name is yours. If you are curious, ask; if someone is frightening you into it, that is worth naming out loud.
